Hat to Heel by Joanna Zara Millinery and The Bias Cut

Local hat designer, Joanna Zara Millinery, is popping up on Dukes Lane with trailblazing fashion boutique the-Bias-Cut.com for an epically stylish boutique. Throughout the two weeks they also will be collecting donations of cosmetics and toiletries on behalf the fabulous “Beauty Banks”, a not-for-profit organisation co-founded by Brighton-based beauty expert and author Sali Hughes. Find at 11 Dukes Lane this November.

Ageism is Never in Style: A discussion with designer The Bias Cut

Join the Hat To Heel pop up shop as they host an “Ageism is Never in Style” discussion event. The-Bias-Cut.com’s founder, Jacynth Bassett will be talking about her own approach to ageism in fashion and how she believes it should be tackled . This will be followed by drinks and networking, and the chance for some late evening browsing. Find at 11 Dukes Lane.

Urban Miniatures: PaxtonGlew Presents

Urban Miniatures is an exciting pop up exhibition bringing together the big names of the Urban Art scene on a tiny scale. A miniatures show, where along with artworks, paintings and sculpture, a subversive technicolour diorama, with working oo gauge Hornby train set has been created by global urban artists. Each train, sign and building has been painted by a prominent artist in the graffiti/ street/ urban/ contemporary art scene. Find at the PaxtonGlew pop up shop in 11 Dukes Lane.

Christmas wreath-making with bubbles and miniatures: A PaxtonGlew Workshop

Learn the basics of how to make your own personalised Christmas wreath with mini things such as mini dinosaurs, presents, toys, thimbles (anything that takes your fancy!) whilst sipping some bubbles. At the PaxtonGlew pop up at 11 Dukes Lane from 7.30pm.

Japanese Furoshiki Wraps: A PaxtonGlew Workshop

The totally gorgeous (and eco-friendly) Japanese Furoshiki wrapping technique—in which you use fabric squares to wrap boxes and gifts. Learn the totally addictive process of block printing using everything from stamps, wood blocks, rollers to toy cars to produce a number of unique wrapping cloths .
