Karen Whybro founded Rock the Frock after experiencing her own frustration with trying to find alternative bridal wear for her own wedding. From boho wedding dresses to colourful separates, brides travel across the country to seek out their favourite Rock the Frock’s piece. The Brighton boutique features incredible styles from alternative to modern elegance, and holds unique pieces from several designers including Leanne Marshall, Lucy Can’t Dance, and Otaduy.

Isle of Avalon

We are very excited to soon welcome Isle of Avalon here to Dukes Lane. Inspired by the repeated use of candles used during lockdown, and an impressive collection of candle glasses to be recycled – Isle of Avalon was born. 

The idea was to create their own sustainable home fragrance and soon came up with their Camelot Candle collection. A range of candles varying in size and volume, with the ability to be refilled by slipping in a new cylinder of wax that are also created by Isle of Avalon. 

Since launching their home fragrance collections in March 2021, they have received an overwhelming response and have been showcased in stores in Brighton and London’s Covent Garden, as well as being asked to feature in British Vogue for three issues.
