Our Jubilee Bank Holiday Guide

17 / 05 / 22

With a 4-day weekend coming up to celebrate the Jubilee, there are plenty of ways to enjoy your time off at Dukes Lane, whether you’re feeling a bit patriotic or not. We’ve put together some great places to eat, shop and relax for the upcoming holiday from 2nd - 5th June.

Eat, Shop & Relax

1. Brand Sixteen

Brand Sixteen offers a selection of healthy breakfasts, plant-based light bites and dreamy homemade cakes, tray bakes and pastries. All of this is complemented by a range of quality whole leaf teas and Drury’s Rainforest Alliance Blend of coffee. The Jubilee celebrates the long-lasting reign of the Queen whereas Brand Sixteen is concerned with a long-lasting planet.

In the sun-basked courtyard, you can fuel up before enjoying the festivities or pause for a break and watch the world go by…

2. Aquila

Forget the crown jewels, what about your own jewels? Pay a visit to Aquila to treat yourself like a king or queen. Everything you see in the shop from rings, bracelets and pendants, to hoops, studs and toe rings is handmade in small batches and with quality materials. For something even more special and unique, Aquila also offers an engraving service should you wish to personalise something.

3. Floating Feather

If experiences and wellbeing are worth more to you than jewels, then it might be time to pay a visit to Floating Feather. Her Majesty the Queen has 2 birthdays a year, so why not give yourself a second birthday this year? Treat yourself to a soothing massage, a relaxing atmosphere and some aromatherapy uniquely blended just for you. Perfect for escaping the everyday.

4. Labyrinth Art Gallery Brighton

A treat for art an music lovers, the Labyrinth Art Gallery Brighton is the place of choice if you’d rather relax and enjoy some collectible Pop Art. From Original Neon and LED’s to Limited Editions, on Anodised Aluminium and Premium Papers – each piece of art has a wonderful story beneath it.

Labyrinth Gallery also has on offer a selection of fascinating and perfect pressies, collectables such as Ltd Edition books, life masks and exhibition memorabilia. Head to the Labyrinth Gallery for an inspirational bank holiday weekend.

5. Profile Fashion

For those serious about looking opulent this Jubilee weekend, a visit to the independent Profile Fashion store shouldn’t go a miss. With designer brands such as Gucci, Dolce & Gabanna, Armani and their own clothing line too, you’ll be sure to find something suitable enough for tea with the Queen.

The founders of Profile were in fact among the first independents to bring labels such as Armani and Hugo Boss to the U.K. Expect knowledgable staff and a personalised, customer-based shopping experience reminiscent of the old days.

That’s not all…

There’s plenty more on offer at Dukes Lane, but that would spoil the surprise, wouldn’t it? Come pay us a visit for the Jubilee weekend (2nd – 5th June) for a well-earned break.
