Big Scary Monsters Brighton Pop Up

01 / 03 / 20

Following the success of their previous popup events in London, Cardiff and Glasgow, independent record label Big Scary Monsters will be taking over 11 Dukes Lane until Friday 20th March. If you miss out this month, fear not, as Big Scary Monsters will return later in the year.

The pop up is the perfect opportunity for vinyl obsessives to grab the latest limited edition releases and colour variants, signed records, test pressings and exclusive merch, as well as serving as a hangout spot with refreshments supplied by Signature Brew. There will also be special performances from a host of BSM artists and local bands, all of which will be free to attend with a small donation in aid of Brighton Women’s Centre.

And if that’s not enough, Big Scary Monsters will be revealing even more goodies including new merch items only available from the popup, rare records and souvenirs – so keep your eyes peeled on their socials.

EVENT UPDATE

Due to the current situation with COVID-19, we have sadly come to the decision that as of Friday 20th March, we will no longer be carrying on with our Brighton Popup Shop.

All instores have been postponed, except for Dev (Delta Sleep) and Jamie Lenman. These will be closed performances and will not be open to the public, however we are inviting you all to join us on instagram where we will be live streaming and recording for future viewing. Times will be confirmed shortly.

Between now and Friday we are using the shop as our office, and if you are in the local area and wanted to pop to pick up some vinyl or merch in you still can  – if you are unwell please do not come.

We’ve got so many new and exciting products on offer here, so we thought we’d open up our popup as a virtual experience. On Wednesday at midday, we’ll be offering a personal shopping service via our instagram stories. We’ll be guiding you through all of the stock on offer, and if you would like to order anything we’ll get it packaged and delivered right to your door.

We understand that people should not be travelling at the moment but we want to make sure that as many of you can access our record store as possible – even from the comfort of your own home.

The good news, we’re not quite finished with you yet Brighton. Plans are already in the works for us to return with a top up popup later in the year. Same place, same unit, different time. All of those details will be announced soon.

Brighton. We love you, we tried. F*** Coronavirus. Stay safe out there.
